Meagan Olive

BMS Graduate Student

Meagan (she/her) attended Boston University for their undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Their first lab job was working on identifying Hereditary Fructose Intolerance-causing Aldolase B mutations under Dr. Tolan. During undergrad they also minored in Spanish and employed those skills when volunteering in Honduras and Nicaragua to establish clean water systems with Global Water Brigades. Following graduation, their first lab position was in Dr. Carr's Proteomics Platform at the Broad Institute doing mass spectrometry research in discovery proteomics and post-translational modifications.

When not in the lab, Meagan can be found taking hip-hop dance classes in the Mission, enjoying live music, or brewing a fresh pour-over coffee.
