Weihao Zheng, PhD

Postdoctoral Scholar

Weihao (he/him/his) grew up in Eastern Guangdong of China, and attended South China University of Technology for his undergraduate degree in Guangzhou. He completed his PhD degree in Dr. Zigang Li’s lab at Peking university, where he focused on structural, functional and inhibitor studies of Ser/Thr kinase/phosphatase Stk1/Stp1 from S. aureus, and was involved in the development of a new hepatitis B virus (HBV) vaccine and HBV peptide inhibitors. As a postdoc in Ernst lab, he is studying mechanisms of immune evasion by Mtb.

When not in the lab, Weihao loves playing basketball, cooking, and swimming.
